Meet Katie – Founder & Candle Maker at High Altitude Candle

High Altitude Candle started as a way to turn some of life’s hardest moments into something beautiful. In 2022, I was diagnosed with cancer, and not long after, in 2023, I lost my best friend—my grandma. Those experiences left me searching for light, hope, and a place to focus my energy.

What I found was candle-making. Pouring candles became a way to heal, to create, and to celebrate the simple joys around me. Every scent is inspired by the mountains I call home, the adventures I love, and the people (and memories) that mean the most to me.

Today, I share this passion with my two adventure dogs, Maverick and Midnight, who remind me daily to embrace the outdoors, find joy in the little things, and keep moving forward. High Altitude Candle is more than just fragrance—it’s a reminder that even after life’s storms, there’s still light, warmth, and beauty waiting to be found.
