IMPORTANT CANDLE CARE
WOODWICK CANDLES
- For our wooden wicks, light the candle at the base of the wick, so the wick can use the “fuel” to stay lit. Why? Wood wicks differ from cotton wicks. Cotton wicks soak up the fuel and wood wicks use the fuel at the base of the wick.
- Let the wax harden before the next light, to get the most use out of your candle.
- Keep the wick between 1/8" and 1/4" tall. Trim when needed.
- For our wooden wicks, if the flame is smoking, put the flame out. Let the wick and wax cool. Then use your finger, an old fingernail clippers or wick trimmer to rub/cut some of the wick off. Discard the portion of the wick that was rubbed/cut off.Relight and enjoy
- With each burn, make sure you let it burn all the way to the edge of the vessel before extinguishing to prevent tunneling. This usually takes a couple hours. Soy wax has memory, so once it tunnels, it’s impossible to get rid of.
- Only burn for 2-3 hours at a time.
- ALWAYS BURN WITHIN SIGHT
